The Sub Assassins, founded in 2004 by Ryan Gatesman and Dj This. The group was frist formed as a tag team alias for the two djs, bringing crowds all over the mid west a crazy blend of cutting edge electro house and breaks. In early 2007 Ryan Gatesman who had an extensive music background turned his interests to producing and teamed up with Disco House Legend Sean Biddle and released his first remix for the Halfcast Bastards out of Leeds U.K. entitiled "the way we rock". After there first release Sean took Ryan under his wing and taught him the formula to producing great house tracks. Using his newly aquired knowledge for electronic music production Ryan broke off and started producing his own blend of electro house. Soon after a few very successfull releases Ryan brought Dj This into the studio and they started work on what would later be known as "The Solution EP" that was signed by midwest label "Lets Play House Recordings" and went all the way to #3 on the Dj Download "fast movers" charts. Early on in the Sub Assassins' producing career they were enlisted by producer Dj Exodous to remix a track "Superstar" that rose to #63 on the Beatport Electro Chart. In early 2008 The Sub Assassins enlisted well known electonic music collector and mash up king Dj Solo to do top 40 "Re-mashes" of there electro tracks and soon after the tracks were becoming very popular with several djs around the Chicagoland Area. The most popular of the tracks "Low-FacePunch" a re-mash of the Sub Assassins track "Face Punch" featuring Flo-Rida vocals was featured on the CD release of the Solution EP. Here at Sub Assassins HQ we love suprises so we decided to use this website bio to OFFICIALLY induct Dj Solo into the ranks of the Sub Assassins. YOU'VE EARNED IT!
